Throughout our region’s history, we have evolved from green belt to green tech, prioritizing innovation, investment, and sustainable growth while staying true to our agricultural roots. In 1873, two Brazilian navel orange trees arrived in Riverside, and thanks to the bold vision of pioneer Eliza Tibbets, who proved what others thought impossible, those trees sparked a citrus boom that made Riverside the heart of California’s navel orange industry.

Bringing global investment to Riverside 🌍

The City of Riverside joined regional partners to host the first Inland SoCal SelectUSA Spin-Off.

With 13 international companies participating, this experience included the Riverside County Fast Pitch event, networking with the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce, a business support panel at UC Riverside, and a behind-the-scenes tour of CE-CERT.

This event reflects the City’s ongoing efforts to attract international business and expand economic opportunities locally.
